Can I use my existing FAST infrastructure for search in Exchange ?

A: FAST is natively integrated into Exchange as its search engine, so you don’t have to purchase a separate license to use the robust indexing and search capabilities that FAST technology provides.

Can I search across all the information in my organization from a single place?

A: Yes. You can use the eDiscovery Center to search across email, calendar items, contacts, instant messages, and documents, without impacting user productivity.

How can I ensure that information in Exchange is retained for a period of time?

A: Time-based In-Place Hold lets you retain email data immutably for a time period that you specify. This allows organizations to meet internal and external regulatory needs with regards to preservation of data.

Can I ensure that only the important parts of my eDiscovery query are held and allow the rest to be purged?

A: Query-based In-Place Hold provides the ability to granularly select which items should be preserved and which can be purged.

Do I have to use multiple tools and interfaces to manage Exchange?

A : You can manage powerful capabilities such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Outlook apps, and site mailboxes from the Exchange Administration Center, a web-based administration interface. This streamlined and intuitive interface helps you to manage Exchange efficiently, delegate tasks, and focus on driving your business forward. You can also perform and script management tasks using Windows PowerShell.

If I have Exchange Online as a standalone plan, can I switch to other Office 365 plans?

A: Yes. If you need to upgrade, you can transition your account to one of the Office 365 Enterprise plans, which are in the same service family as Exchange Online standalone plans. If you want to move to a different service family, for example to an Office 365 Business Essentials or Office 365 Business Premium plan, you must first cancel your Exchange Online account and then sign up for a different one.
**Note that when you upgrade your account, your domain name is transferred to your new account, regardless of whether you brought your own domain name to the account or you set up a domain name when creating your Exchange Online account.

Can Exchange help me connect my users' smartphones and tablets to receive email?

A: Yes. Exchange created the de facto standard for mobile email syncing-Exchange ActiveSync. In addition, Exchange also provides a great Outlook Web App experience that works with devices that support web browsers, so your mobile users will have easy ways to access their email.

Can Exchange protect the organizational information on mobile devices?

A: Yes. Exchange provides remote wipe capabilities for devices connected with Exchange ActiveSync.
